SPIRITUALITY
Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy (PHAA) is a school that offers a quality, Christ-centered education with excellent preparation not only for college but for eternity. We promote service to others, Christian values, and participation and involvement in and out of the classroom. Our mission: We exist to connect students to a gracious God and engage them through an interactive learning process as modeled by Christ.
Christ-centered
Every teacher incorporates our faith with student learning throughout the year along with every student, from Transitional Kindergarten through 12thgrade, taking a Bible or religion class. Our campus chaplain leads our class/SA religious vice presidents and assists teachers in introducing students to Christ and encouraging a closer walk with Him. During weekly chapels, students present creative videos, provide musical numbers, sing praise songs, and listen to poignant speakers. Our strong spiritual climate is shared outside the classroom through music performances in area churches, Bible studies, regular vespers programs and numerous outreach ministries.
Community Service
High School students spend a minimum of 25 hours each school year serving their community. Service projects include feeding the homeless, short term mission projects, helping out at area thrift stores, assisting our local Discoveryland preschool with music and worship, and volunteering at their local church. We are proud of the commitment to service our students show both on and off campus. We love our students!
